1992年加拿大育空地方政府施行了一项名为“驯鹿增量”的计划，以变相扑杀狼群的方式，让原本因人类过度猎捕而数量锐减的驯鹿迅速繁殖。Matthew Lien以音乐与人性记录了在原野上被人类大量屠杀的狼群的故事，耗时两年，以最直接的感情、最沉痛的呼吁，敲击着人们的心：加拿大育空河流域，狼群目睹着同伴断气在人类枪下的身影，它们的眼神中没有恐惧，只露出一股沉静，那是原野上的傲气天生的野性，在原野还能奔跑，血液尚未流尽之时，回首凝望，无法舔舐同伴的鲜血，就带着它的灵魂继续浪迹天涯。
