Evan Parker, Sainkho Namchylak--two of the most remarkable improvisors in free music today. But put them together in a disc-long set of duets.... somehow it seems to me this is mostly fairly intractable music. I found it very hard going, lacking in much actual drama or suspense--each musician does his/her thing, excellently but without actually producing anything that s more than the sum of its parts. ( it is also frankly pretty tough going in the squeakier bits.) It s an infinitely less humane engaging than Namchylak s duet disc with Ned Rothenberg, _Amulet_, which I d recommend much more strongly. With Evan Parker discs sprouting up like mushrooms in the 1990s, I can t see that this need be a high-priority purchase for any but avid collectors of the principals work.

今天起了個大早，坐在沙發上聽 Paul Motian On Boardway Vol.3，愜意極了，Lee Konitz, Joe Lovano, Bill Frisell,Charlie Haden 這樣的組合加上經典曲目，還能說什麼呢？
這幾天隔壁鄰居在裝潢，每天九點以前，震耳欲聾的電鑽就會毫不留情的發動，真是快被吵瘋了，只好用音響來掩蓋巨大的噪音，後來我祭出了 Evan Parker Sainkho Namtchylak - Mars Song [Victo] 來對抗，這張專輯真是嚇壞我了，很恐怖的人聲，難以相信有這樣的奇女子，在一個小時的震撼後，我應該不會再嘗試 Sainkho Namtchylak 的東西，很好奇的是有著東方面孔的 Namtchylak 是日本人嗎？

我也受不了。没太听懂，可能隔几天再尝试一下吧。
